Pilipinas Got Singers?
Disappointed netizens turned to microblogging site Twitter and dubbed the talent show franchise as “Pilipinas Got Singers.” Singers have consecutively won grand prizes since the premiere of its first season. Jovit Baldivino was named as the first PGT grand winner, while Marcelito Pomoy got the second season’s grand prize. The Maasinhon Trio, a singing group, won the third season.
Before the season start, the show’s judges, especially Kris Aquino, were telling they hope that a singer won’t win this time. However, upon hearing Manlangit’s performance yesterday, the Queen of All Media says she withdraws what she earlier said because the young singer deserves the title.
