The hit Australian reality TV show, Junior MasterChef, is now coming to the Philippines and will be hosted by Ms. Judy Ann Santos. It is a spin-off of MasterChef Australia, itself an adaptation of the British show MasterChef, and features contestants aged 8 to 13. The Junior MasterChef Australia can be viewed over Star World on Sundays, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
I’ve seen some episodes of the Australian edition and it was impressive how those kids learn, grow and take their skills to the next level. At a very young age, they cooked very well that I could not help but envy these kids’ skills.
The Philippines’ edition, which will be aired over ABS-CBN, is expected to draw similar strong audience. Junior MasterChef Pinoy Edition is open to all 8-12 years old Filipino kids who:
- Love to cook
- Love to learn new skills in the kitchen
- Can cook several recipes alone or with supervision of their parents.
- Can cook their favorite recipes for the judges.
- Can accept criticisms from the judges
