Eat Bulaga Indonesia to give loads of laughter and prizes

We are used to watching shows franchised or even adapted from international program. It is refreshing to know that for the first time, a local TV show goes international.

After 33 years of giving noontime laughter and loads of prizes to Filipinos, the longest-running variety show in the Philippines Eat Bulaga has opened its door to international franchise.

Eat Bulaga Indonesia premiered in Indonesia this July 16, 2012 over Surya Citra Televisi or SCTV.  The show is hosted by Uya Kuya, Aja Farid, Reza No, Ramzi, Narji, Ciripa, Rian Ibram, Rio Indrawan, Steven, Leo Consul, Selena Alexandria, Jenny Tan, Bianca Lizza and Julie Christie.

Harsiwi Achmad, Director of Programs and Production of Studio Penta SCTV said that they “want this program to be a success like in the Philippines.”  She added that they are “not adapting 100% of the Philippines’ Eat Bulaga but will format it in accordance with the state and introduce positive values, environmental campaigns, and sharing with others

However, same goes like the original Eat Bulaga, the  variety show will still be featuring talent searches and games that will give away prizes and surprises in cash and in goods. Some of the segments which will be retained are Bolagaan, Karaoke Stud, Indonesia Genius, and One For All, All For One.
