ABS-CBN noontime show “Happy, Yipee, Yehey” will air its last episode on Jan 31?

Rumors circulate that the ABS-CBN noontime show “Happy, Yipee, Yehey” (HYY) will air its last episode on January 31.   According to sources, the management has to end the program because it still failed to be at par with “Eat Bulaga”, the longest-running variety show.  The latter still continues to reign in the noontime ratings, both in Mega Manila and nationwide.

ABS-CBN have been facing a dilemma to regain their noontime ratings after the defunct Wowowee. On its first airing last February 21, 2011, HYY hoped to compete head-to-head with Eat Bulaga, but until now it fails to get into the top 10 daytime programs.

Showtime, which owns the 10AM slot for the Nationwide TV ratings, is rumored to replace HYY.  ABS-CBN has not yet released an official statement regarding this issue.
