A Beautiful Affair could be one of the short-lived teleserye as it will only have its run for 3 months. Was the very low rating a reason why ABS-CBN has opted to cut the running time from 30 weeks to just 9 weeks?

The series is considered to be one of the most expensive Kapamilya telenovelas. Apart from the powerhouse cast, the high budget was allotted for the overseas taping. Some of the earlier scenes were shot in Vienna and Salzburg, Austria.
After their box-office success with their movie “The Mistress“, the network paired John Lloyd and Bea Alonzo in this teleserye, probably hoping that the tandem can still bring spark to primetime viewing. The show started off with considerably higher rating over its rival programs, but it was not sustained. The show, however, still managed to barge into the top 10 primetime programs based on both Kantar and AGB Nielsen.
Cruz’s busy schedule was also blamed for the short run of the show. The actor is reportedly busy taping for his Valentine movie with Sarah Geronimo.
