6 Tips To Encourage Readers For Your Articles or Blog Posts

Probloggers say that to attract visitors and build readership, you have to start with your content. As they’ve said, “CONTENT IS KING.” Articles and blog posts are written to be read.

Writing articles or posting entries to your blog can be a tedious task. Reading good feedbacks from your readers and seeing good stats for those articles are already fulfilling compensation.

To make sure that your articles get read and enjoyed, here are six red hot tips to get your articles read. These tips will make your articles readable and interesting.

1) Use short paragraphs. Admit it, you, yourself, sometimes hate reading very long articles, especially if it is not so engaging. It can get quite confusing and too much of a hard work to read. The reader will just quickly disregard the paragraph and move on to much easier reading articles that are good to look at as well as read. Paragraphs can be a single sentence, sometimes even a single word!

2) Make use of numbers or bullets. As each point is stressed out, numbers and bullets can quickly make the point easy to remember and digest. As each point, tip, guide or method is started with a bullet or point, readers will know that this is where the tips start and getting stressed. Format you bullets and numbers with indentations so that your article won’t look like a single block of square paragraphs. Add a little bit of flair and pizzazz to your articles shape.

Flashback: Why I thought the internet was evil?

Another one of my Xanga entries: Why I think thought the internet was evil?

Internet is EVIL, don’t you think?

1. It’s a huge temptation. I need not cite examples why did I say so.

2. It’s time-wasting. Imagine?! You were just chatting with some friends, posting on message boards, blogging, and visiting some sites and then you suddenly came to your mind, cursing yourself because you already spent 7-straight hours in front your PC. “Stupid! It’s our session tomorrow yet I didn’t bother to read some of our topics. Study now, bitch!” But when you scan your books and encounter some boring words, especially those that requires you to get a dictionary and search them up, you’ll feel sleepy. Sometimes, unknowingly because maybe your eyes are tired, you fall asleep that when you woke up, you were late for school already!

3. It’s costly. One of our parents’ monthly habits are nagging about the internet bill, especially when you’re using broadband connection. You can still hear the voice of your mom, half-yelling, “Because of this, *holding the bill* you’ll have a 10% less from your allowance.” But it’s fine with us, as long as we have internet connection. We can endure the nagging and a less from our allowance but we can’t endure the thought that we’ll be offline for months.

4. It ruins some lives. When you have ample time, why don’t you try visit some internet cafês, you would think for a moment that you’re at a war zone. But all you see are students, busy clicking the mouse, playing Counter-Strike.
