The Philippine Azkals will compete with other Asian football teams with hope to notch a spot at the AFC Challenge Cup-Maldives 2014.
The national football team was bracketed in Group E along with Cambodia, Turkmenistan, and Brunei Darussalam. Twenty teams, divided in five groups, will compete for the qualification phase (See grouping and schedule of matches). The winners from each group plus the two best second-placed teams will qualify for the finals.

The official lineup for the Azkals has not been released yet. But it is expected of the team to filed its best lineup after the football event was moved two weeks later from original schedule.
