At least 38,000 runners are expected to join the 36th National Milo Marathon, Metro Manila elimination leg this coming Sunday. More than 2,000 runners are going for the 42-K track, marking the largest number of participants in a single race in the history of the marathon.
The marathon will start at 3:00 AM for 42km, 4:30 AM for 21 km, 5:00 AM for 10 km, 5:30 AM for 5 km and 3 km. Start and finish lines will be at the SM Mall of Asia, Seaside Boulevard. See the map track.
Winners from the Metro Manila elimination race will face-off against qualifying leg winners Hernanie Sore and former Milo Marathon Queen Cristabel Martes (Baguio elims), Wilson Maningkil and Lany Cardona (Dagupan elims), three-time former Milo Marathon King Eduardo Buenavista and Miscelle Gilbuena (Tarlac elims) and former Milo Marathon King Julius Sermona and Merdeliza Dizu (Angeles elims) at the Marathon National Finals on December 9.
The 36th Milo Marathon is fun run which aims to give running shoes to the unfavorable children of the Philippines. One registration entry will give one child a pair of running shoes.
