The William Jones Cup, now on its 33rd year, is an annual international basketball tournament held in Taipei, Taiwan and participated by Asian countries. The 2011 Jones Cup will be happening from August 6-14, 2011. Two tournaments – men’s and women’s basketball – are being participated to.
As of this posting, our national team, Smart Gilas had a consecutive two wins, against the mighty Iran (with a 73-59 score) and Chinese Taipei (with a 90-78 score). They suffered their first lost against Jordan with a score of 76-72.

ito ang line up n khit china mgugulantang,alapag,casio,tenorio,williams,santos,j wash,norwood,dauthed,taulava,thoss,ranidel,james jap,and aguilar
ndi din.. no team chemistry.. the gilas even they dont have superstar in their line-up, they can able to win many games compare to line -up that you mentioned.. and its becoz of the team familiarity..
Maganda na sana ang team ng smart gilas,,, kaso kulang po talaga ng malalaking tao,, kaya masyado nahirapan dauhtit,, plss isama na natin si kelly williams at yung dati nsa team phil. din si de la cruz… and other big man… kasi oky na rin ferpormance nila baracael at casio pagdating sa diskarti…. we just need a big man to help dauhtit on deffense and offense also..
kung malalaki ang kulang ng gilas, bakit di nila makuha yong malaking mama sa UC “Junmar Fajardo”, 6’10″ yon at shooter 90% sa freethrow.
kung makuha nila yon,,,,may laban na,,,,si Slaughter hindi uobra don ka Fajardo.
Ballesteros, wala naman yon, si Castro sa TnT sana.
