2013 Hong Kong King Cup Results: Philippines defeated Changsha Park Lane in HK invitational semis
The Philippine national team, Gilas Pilipinas, secures its final tilt at the 19th Super Keung Sheung Cup International Invitation Basketball Championship (King’s Cup) after defeating Changsha Park Lane Snow Wolves (second place of Group A) at the semifinals round held Saturday, January 26 at the the Queen Elizabeth Stadium in Wanchai, Hong Kong.
KG Canaleta paced the Gilas for a 4-sweep winning games with 18 points and eight rebounds. Marcus Douthit added 13 markers and 8 boards. The Chot Reyes-mentored team scored 90 points against 69 of the young Changsha Park Lane team.
Kevin Alas chipped in 10 points for the Filipinos. Gilas will face the defending champion Southern California Fukienese Association for the championship round.
The finals will be played tomorrow, January 27, at 3:30 PM.
