Rumors of the Mega Star Sharon Cuneta alleged transfer to other TV station, the Kapatid network named, began to circulate at weeks ago. No one was confirming from both sides, Sharon’s and her mother network, ABS-CBN although there have been news that there are undergoing negotiations regarding her transfer to Manny Pangilinan-owned TV5.
Even her close friends like Judy Anne Santos, kept mum regarding her transfer. In an interview of ABS-CBN’s head honcho Gabby Lopez III during the 2011 Ad Congress, he did not confirm nor deny Cuneta’s transfer and said the TV station concerned should be asked more about it. Her non-inclusion in the 2011 Kapamilya Christmas Season station ID, has further strengthened the speculations that the mega star is indeed moving out of her mother network.
After all the speculations, the transfer was confirmed by Ricky Lo in his Funfare column in The Philippine Star. He writes that the mega star has inked a 1B exclusive contract with the Kapatid network. Included in the contract package is a TV show, however details regarding the contract was not fully disclosed.
