As Dante exits, another low pressure area may enter the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) and threatens to bring more rains and intensify the southwest monsoon. The LPA may become a tropical cyclone according to state weather bureau Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
Once it enters the PAR, it will be named “Emong”, the fifth weather disturbance to enter the country this year.
The LPA is spotted near central Luzon and is expected to make landfall tomorrow. It may bring rains to the whole of Luzon.
Meanwhile, PAGASA said in its latest weather bulletin that MIMAROPA, CALABARZON, Bicol Region, Visayas and the provinces of Bataan, Zambales and Pangasinan will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rain showers and thunderstorms due to the weak southwest monsoon affecting the western sections of Luzon and Visayas.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening.
