DepEd Performance-Based Bonus latest updates issued
Who are eligible to get the much-awaited performance-based bonus? Will all Department of Education or DepEd employees, teachers, and personnel get the newly implemented incentive system by the Aquino administration?
DepEd has recently released the guidelines on the granting of Performance Based Bonus (PBB) for its personnel, based on Executive Order No. 80, s. 2012 signed by President Benigno S. Aquino III. According to the guidelines, those who have qualified from the Central Office (CO), Regional Offices (ROs), Division Offices (DOs) and attached agencies, shall be further evaluated based on the said guidelines and on their individual performance.
As for teaching and non-teaching personnel of the schools, there will be no individual ranking at the school level. Thus, the performance category of the school shall determine the level of PBB that each employee will receive.
The agency also released an infographic for better representation of who will be eligible to get a PBB for Fiscal Year 2012.
In a recent issuance, however, by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), the department still has to submit the requirements for the PBB release. As of March 2013, only the Department of Health (DOH) has complied with the requirements.
The DBM has also belied the circulating text messages indicating that government employees will only be receiving Php 10,000 in March 2013. DBM reiterated that the the amount that each employee will receive is not across-the-board, rather, dependent on individual and bureau performance.
The PBB or the Performance-Based Bonus is a component of the PBIS or the Performance-Based Incentive System. The PBB is a top-up bonus which will be given to employees based on their contribution to the achievement of their Department or Agency’s targets and commitments in FY 2012. The other component is the PEI, which is provided to employees across the board, regardless of their actual performance.
