Amid the depressing situation and mourning of our countrymen especially those coming from the hard-hit areas – Iligan City and Cagayan de oro, a heartless comment coming from a certain Celine Acut added insult to the injury.
Celine Acut said on her Facebook account (which has been deleted as of posting):
“According to the news, almost all of the victims are poor families, so it’s better that they all die this early… whats the point of living a life which is full of hunger. at least they are now resting with peace.. they are worthless, they are unproductive and their lives has no value at all.. they are just making more problems to the society so as i said its better that they have died this early… they don’t deserve a chance to live because they are poor, they are not VIP anyways… I even wish sendong to come back and flash away those remaining poor families over there..”

It such a shame that a fellow Filipino and an Iliganon at that (well, she’s now disowned by many), could say such rude things when the whole world is mourning for the Philippines. An expected reverberation of her act was hatred from the Filipinos. A Facebook hate-page was created to express the disgust of the Filipinos.
