The King of Philippine Rap, the master rapper, Francis Magalona, bade farewell to his loved ones and fans as he rest in peace at the age of 44 due to complications of Acute Myelogenous Leukemia last March 6, 2009. He had made major contributions in Philippine music, especially in rap music. He has helped a lot of Filipino rap and hip hop artists to get noticed. He was known for being nationalistic, expressing his nationalism through his music.

His battle for cancer has been an inspiration of many, especially those who’s also experiencing similar disease.
