The third and final installment of the box-office tandem of John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo (known to their fans as “AshLloyd”) has received the highest rating of “A” from the Cinema Evaluation Board (CEB).
Cruz and Geronimo will reprise their roles as “Miggy Montenegro” and “Laida Magtalas” in this long-awaited third part of their certified box-office hits “A Very Special Love” and “You Changed My Life”. The prequels of this latest Star Cinema-Viva Films joint movie venture have been listed as two of the “All-Time Highest-Grossing Philippine Films” raking in Php 179.25 million and Php 225.21 million, respectively.
Box-office Director, who also directed the prequels, Cathy Garcia-Molina promised highest level of “kilig” from the Miggy-Laida love team. “Iba na ‘yung level ng kilig ng part 3. It’s not about the same girl who’s giggling over her crush. Sa part 3, we’ve taken it a notch higher na hindi lang basta kilig,” she said in an ABS-CBN News interview.
“Dito, natuto na sila Laida (Geronimo) and Miggy (Cruz) kung paano magmahal. Kaya ‘yung kilig dito, hindi na nanggagaling sa pa-cute. Mas kikiligin ka kasi alam mong mahal na nila yung isa’t isa in the true sense of love,” she added.
The final part will surely follow the box-office success trail of “A Very Special Love” and “You Changed My Life”.
“It Takes a Man and a Woman” will open in more than 100 theaters nationwide on Black Saturday, March 30.
