Next to unlimited text and call, the advent of dual standby-able phones was one of the helpful innovations of mobile companies.
Having a dual SIM phone is very convenient especially for persons with two different network subscriptions. Like in my case, I am a subscriber of both Smart and SUN. I use my Smart number for official transactions and my Sun number for calling consultants, referrals, communicating with my other residents, and other hospital-related transactions because of its unlimited text and calling (good thing most of the doctors has subscribed to Sun).
The demand for dual SIM phones have been increasing, that’s why mobile giants such as Samsung, Sony Ericsson and Nokia, have joined the bandwagon and started producing ones. Among these three giants, Samsung has been able to produce better versions which are still equipped with functionality we have been looking for in a phone, camera, music player, touch screen, social networking, etc. Samsung previously launched their Duos units which include:

Having a dual SIM handset offers real convenience. You need not carry two handsets for two different SIM cards, rather, you only need to carry one handset. You only have one phonebook. You can separate your personal number from your business number. These are just few of the advantages you get with a Dual Standby phone. Indeed, it’s real convenience.

I hope nokia could implement this technology to their product lines because it would benefit many users specially here in the Philippines.
Nokia N900: one of the best smartphone
