Will Smart be the official carrier for the new Apple iPhone 4S? According to TechPinas.com, an insider said that Smart is now in the process of preparing the launch of iPhone 4S in the Philippines before year ends. The source said that Smart will now be the official carrier of Apple iPhone in the Philippines after Globe Telecom’s exclusive deal with Apple has lapsed.

I was actually wondering why Globe Telecom who was the official distributor of previous versions of iPhone has not made any announcements regarding pre-selling of the units. Previously, they would announce a pre-selling price or accept pre-orders of the units months prior to the anticipated release.
