Yet, Another Death Hoax: Shaggy died in Los Angeles bar fight
The Twitterverse (slang term for short for Twitter Universe) went abuzz on Shaggy’s death Thursday. The ‘Boombastic’ singer seems to be the latest celebrity to fall victim to the notorious Twitter death-hoax, the latest one was of Nicolas Cage death.

According to reports, the Grammy-winning Jamaican-American rapper died “after taking a shiv to the liver during a brawl in L.A.” which began circulating on the web late Wednesday (Jan. 23). The Wikipedia page of the singer was updated with this bogus information, further misleading fans.
A representative of Shaggy, whose real name is Orville Richard Burrell, told entertainment website TMZ that the news was a hoax. Shaggy “is like a cat with 9 lives, but I can happily report that he’s alive and kicking and in the same building as me right now as we speak,” told TMZ source.
This was not the rapper has been subjected to these infamous celebrity death hoaxes. There was a report previously that the rapper fell off the cliff while skiing in Austria.
Shaggy was known for his hits “Boombastic”, “It Wasn’t Me” and his album “Hot Shot” which sold millions of copies worldwide.
