It has been reported previously that the Department of Health (DOH) will hire an estimated 22,500 new nurses next year under its Registered Nurses for Health Enhancement and Local Service (RN HEALS) Program.
Some regions have announced that online applications for the fourth batch of the program to be hired in 2013 are now ongoing. Region 7 and Region 10 have already posted their respective links that will allow interested applicants to submit their resumes, PRC card and application online.
Other regions are expected to announce the start of application for their area.
Under the RN HEALS program, the government hires licensed nurses for one year as “contractuals” with an allowance of not more than P8,000 a month. They are usually assigned to understaffed hospitals, health centers and under-served communities.
