Summit Entertainment, the producer of the phenomenal Twilight, will soon release (on Thursday morning) the full official trailer of the third installment of the said saga, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. However, a 10-second clip of the official trailer has been leaked around the internet.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse will still star Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, reprising their roles as Edward Cullen, Bella Swan and Jacob, respectively.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse will be released theatrically in US on Wednesday, June 30, 2010.

Philippine Tsunami Alert

The first wave of the tsunami which hit Chile yesterday is predicted to hit the Philippines this afternoon (Sunday, Feb 28) at around 1 to 2:30 PM according to the Philvocs as posted in their bulletin.

Communities around the eastern coastal areas are made alert of the Tsunamis, although the Philvocs is not yet recommending evacuation.

Based on the Phivolcs advisory, the following “coastal areas fronting the Pacific Ocean that should keep watch” are:

Physician Licensure/Board Exam Result February 2010 Result

The Professional Regulations Commission is said to release the official list of board passers from the recently held Physicians Licensure Examination done last February 14-15 and 21-22, 2010 on Thursday. Usually the results are released 3 days after the examination, however it can be as early as 2 days, depending on the number of examinees.

Visit this blog for an updated list soon! Can’t wait to see the result because some of my friends and co-PGI’s from Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center took the said exam. I’m pretty sure they’re going to be licensed doctors in a few hours.

The Apple iPod touch, as we know, functions as an mp3 player. But did you know that it can now be transformed into a mobile phone. This extended functionality is possible using the free application “Truphone” available from the Apple’s App Store.

The Truphone application allows users with a Wi-Fi connection to make and receive phone calls via voice over Internet Protocol, or VoIP, with other iPod Touch owners, users of the Google Talk’s messaging service, and customers of Truphone’s Internet telephone service. The company said it expects to add the ability to handle landline calls. The applicatiom creates a virtual keyboard on the second-generation iPod Touch to dial calls, and requires the addition of a headset and microphone. Cnet.com

Truphone features that will be made available in the future include the ability to phone and instant-message Skype and MSN VoIP users, and to check and set Twitter and Facebook connections.

Truphone running in iPod touch, can be considered as an iPhone competitor, however, Apple does not seem to be alarmed by this free application, as evident by its availability in the Apple App store for free. Well, knowing Apple, they may incorporate this feature in future releases of iPod touch.

Why is it important to list your website in web directories? Web directories were hot before the advent of search engines. Previously, people go to these directories to find quality websites, a potential referring traffic for web masters. However, these days, search engines made it easier for internet users to find what they’re looking for; directories were forgotten since then, sadly, even by webmasters.

SEO giants have long been stressing about the importance of building inbound links through web directories. Submitting your site to good and high-PR directories is one way of getting quality links that are highly valued by the search engines. Web directories are mainly human edited, thus a website must pass a strict criteria to get listed, hence quality links are only listed. These links are search engine friendly. Since they are organized in highly focused categories making them an invaluable resource for search engines to measure the quality and the relevance of a website.

Web directories are, thus, important not because they give direct referral traffic, but because they are given importance by the search engines to qualify and rank web pages and determine their relevance.

Enchanted Kingdom Updated Ticket Prices and Park Schedule

Enchanted Kingdom is now open daily at 10 am to 12 midnight.

Just the other day, our department (Department of Pediatrics of Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical center) had its Christmas outing, this time around we had an enchanted getaway at Enchanted Kingdom, Sta Rosa Laguna. Because it was on holiday season, we were greeted by hundreds of people (the theme park probably had over thousands of people) that we had to wait for 2 hours while falling in line on each ride. Probably, going there during the holidays is not recommended if you want to take advantage of their Ride-All-You-Can pass. Or it is best if you go there earlier.

The park was open on weekends (Saturday and Sunday at 11 am to 9pm) and weekdays (on Thursday and Friday at 12 noon to 7pm). For the holiday season, the park opens daily from 10:00 am to 12:00 midnight from December 19, 2009 to January 3, 2010 to accommodate the thousands of guests.

There are the Holidays/Weekend Rates:

Child: PhP320 (36 inches to 47 inches)
Child is FREE if 35 inches below
