Another Filipino designer made it big in the hit fashion reality TV show, “America’s Next Top Model”. Oliver Tolentino is a Hollywood-based Filipino designer whose creations were featured in an episode of the show.
Oliver Tolentino is the second Filipino whose designs have been featured on the show. Previously, Michael Cinco also made Filipino proud when some of his designs were worn by the model-contestants.
According to OliverTolentino.com, he is the first ever Philippines-based fashion designer to expand into the United States when he opened a boutique in Los Angeles in July 2009. He made gowns for Hollywood celebrities like Macy Gray, Patti Austin, Sophia Bush, Spice Girls’ Mel B and many others. Back in the Philippines, he designed for famous figures and celebrities, to include the former First Lady Imelda Marcos.
