Is February 15, 2011 a holiday in the Philippines? It is yes, for some provinces especially the ARMM Regions and other Muslim provinces in the Philippines, this is in pursuant to Presidential Decree 1083 and Civil Service Commission Resolution No. 81-1277.

On Tuesday, it is the marking of the Prophet Muhammad’s 1441st Birth Anniversary (Peace Be Upon Him) which is termed as Mawlid an-Nabi (or simply The Birth of the Prophet).
