I was reading a local magazine when I flipped on an ad-page about an airline called ZestAir with a catchy tagline, “Asia’s most refreshing airline”.  I’ve never heard of them before so I immediately visited their site to get an idea about it.

Zest Airlines caters to domestic flights and was formerly the Asian Spirit Airlines.  It flies from Manila to Antique, Bacolod, Basco, Caticlan, Busuanga, Calbayog, Catarman, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Kalibo, Legazpi, Marinduque, Masbate, Ormoc, Puerto Princessa, San Jose Occidental Mindoro, Tacloban and Virac.  Too bad, it does not fly to Cagayan de Oro.

As for the airfare rates, its similar with other airlines, although it can be cheaper or higher.  Surely, it’s cheaper than PAL but could be a little higher than Cebu Pacific. They also run some promos.  They recently had an All-in promo, Php 786.00 from Manila to Cebu and Php 1,886.00 from Manila to Davao, with or without baggage.  The promo period was on December 8-12, 2008 and the travel period on December 20, 2008 to January 15, 2009.

Their website is still new and under construction, so I assume they’re still new in the flight industry.

Philippine Airlines (PAL) Airfare/Ticket/Flight Promos

The holiday season is one of the traveling peak seasons, especially in the Philippines. Filipinos value family togetherness during Christmas so they make it a point to go to their hometowns. It is during these days also that major airlines are offering fare/ticket/flight promos for one way trips or round trips to their clients.

Cebu Pacific Air is currently running low-airfare promos for international and domestic round trips. Also, previously they had a P500.00 All-in promo for trips on January to March 2009, booked last October 2008.

Philippine Airlines, although does not implement lowest rate promos, they are currently offering PAL EconoLight for international and domestic flights, with these applicable routes and fare rates:

  • For as low as PHP 488
    Between MANILA and LAOAG
  • For as low as PHP788
    Between MANILA and LEGASPI/CEBU/ILOILO
  • For as low as PHP1,088
    Between MANILA and BACOLOD/DUMAGUETE/KALIBO/
    PUERTO PRINCESA/ROXAS/TACLOBAN/TAGBILARAN
  • For as low as PHP2,088
    Between MANILA and BUTUAN/CAGAYAN DE ORO/COTABATO/
    DAVAO/DIPOLOG/GENERAL SANTOS/ZAMBOANGA

Cebu Pacific Airfare Rates Promos for Domestic and International Trips

Cebu Pacific has been my airline of choice primarily because of its cheap airfare rates compared to other domestic and international airlines. Further, they’re also constantly updating on their promos for airfare, and it’s always at the cheapest price possible.

Just recently, they had a promo on all domestic and international flights for only P500 round trip airfare for those flights for January 9 to March 18, 2009 booked on October 22, 2008.

Here’s another good news to all their clients. They’re currently running a promo again for selected domestic and international flights at a cheaper fare rate, round trip.

Cebu Pacific Air Ticket Fare Promos

I went home to Mindanao last October 10-13, 2008 via Cebu Pacific Air.  I spent almost Php 5,000 for a round trip ticket, which was already a promo price (regular ticket price I think is around Php 3k-4k for one-way fare).  Too bad for me I wasn’t able to avail on their promo price of as low as Php 400 for a round trip on December 2009, booked on September 2008.

Anyway, I just received a text message from the ticketing office, where I bought my ticket during my last trip, that Cebu Pacific Air is currently running a low-fare promo. You can avail of the Php 500 promo for all domestic flights on January 9 - March 28, 2009 if you book your flights before October 27, 2008.  And oh, they’re also running a Php 500 promo for all international flights with over 500,000 seats available. This promo runs from October 22-27, 2008. So book your 2009 flights today!
