iPed: The iPad Replica

Can’t afford the iPad? Well, there’s a cheaper version of the high-selling gadget, called the iPed or Apad, of course, it’s China made. It has only been just few months since the iPad was released by Apple, Inc., and as expected, it sold millions since its first released, similarly, replicas of the said gadget are expected to arise in the market.

Pieces of the iPed were spotted on sale in Shenzhen, China last May 28, 2010 at a much cheaper price (about a quarter of the price of the iPad) at about $105 (the iPad sells about $500 plus). It is said to come with an Intel processor and also runs on Google’s Android OS. FinanceManila has compared iPed and iPad specifications and features and see if the iPed can be a good alternative for the iPad.

Send Automated Messages with Getmooh

I found a good website, called Get Me Out of Here that can help you get out of a situation where you really need to escape, say a boring date perhaps.  Get Me Out of Here is a free automated callback service that will automatically call you on your phone, at your pre-specified time and playing you a recording which will either instruct you on what to say to elude your tormentor(s), or which will simply give a convincing sense of you being on an important call.

However, you can also use the service to turn things otherwise, like sending a birthday message to a friend, or sending sweet nothings to a date.

Signing up is free but your network provider may charge you for every call generated.

Where to get ASUS Eee PC Driver for Windows

My ASUS Eee PC had a Linux OS installed when I first bought it. I was enjoying Linux during the first two weeks because of the media player, practically virus-free, and the built in drivers, etc. It basically has everything I need for a notebook. However, I had it changed to Windows XP SP3 because some of the programs I need for my studying such as iSilo does not run with Linux. It didn’t offer to me the convenience Windows XP has given me ever since I got acquainted with the internet.

I successfully installed Windows XP SP3 on it however, it also meant that the drivers for WLAN, LAN, audio, VGA camera, etc, were all deleted.  Good thing there are available drivers for download for ASUS Eee PC for Windows XP versions.

Go to EeeGuides.com to freely download the drivers.
