I’ve been in a search for a good internet connection ever since I had my residency training here in Manila but I seemingly couldn’t find a satisfactory one. When I was still in Iligan City, we had PLDT MyDSL as our internet provider, which was quite faster compared to my first connection which was SmartBro.
Since I am using the internet everywhere, and unfortunately, WiFi connections are not everywhere, I have to get a connection which I can bring anywhere, like the Smart Bro Prepaid USB Modem. The connection was fast, however, it keeps disconnected from time to time and several disconnection time is always my pet peeve. So when Sun Broadband came, I subscribed to their unlimited plan. At first there was flawless connection, however, recently, I had several downtimes and sluggish connection, especially during the night. One of the disadvantages of wireless services especially the 3G is its dependence of network signal and is altered by network congestion. Especially if you’re in Metro Manila, you expect this kind of problem [sluggish connection and several downtimes] with this 3G/HSDPA/WCDMA networks.
So now, I am thinking of switching to a 4G connection, offered by Globe Telecom with its newest Globe Wimax. The plans were quite convincing to subscribe to however, I am still searching for reviews regarding the Globe Wimax. So for those who have tried it, please give me some feedbacks about Globe Wimax.

Globe wimax is good, but it depends on your location the stronger the signal the better, and it also depends on the internet traffic the more users the slower

may capping ang globe wimax. 25 gig lang ang download limit nila per month…kaya pag naubos mo agad yung 25 gig,ilolock nila yung speed mo sa 300kbps..ang masakit pa dun kasama yung panonood ng video streaming like watching youtube sa pag ubos ng dl limit..and they are offering it as unlimited broadband…sus!!!sa trial walang capping..pero pag pumirma ka na ng contract dun na magsisimula ang kalbaryo mo…

1. walang alam ung mga technician na pinapapunta nila (tapik tapik lang sa modem tapos sasabihin ok na ser) i am in a position to say this kasi ive been studying computer networks for about 3 years now.
2. unlike ibang isp na every 5 mins ang disconnection and globe wimax ko ayy every 30 seconds nadidisconnect ako.
3. 1 mpbs plan feels like and really is like a freaking dial up connection. mejo mas mabilis nga lang sa dial up ng konti.
4. palagi daw silang may network system repair or something.

I therefore conclude na Globe Wimax sucks as hell..

nakaka batrip tong globe wimax hindi gumagana ang camfrog hehe.. pero pag bumalik ako sa usb waT I MEAN IS globe tattoo,, gumagana naman ang camfrog ko.. nakaka badtrip. kaya ka nga nagbabayad para makapagsurf eh tyaka magenjoy. 1mbps nga ngaun pero still wala paring camfrog.. BBBAAADDDTTTRRRIIIIIIIIIIPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!
