Danica Flores Magpantay, a University of the Philippines Fine Arts student, was named as the 2011 Ford Supermodel of the Year, a prestigious award held in New York City.

Danica won a $250,000-worth modeling contract from the Eileen Ford Modeling Agency, which is believed to be the largest and most prestigious international modeling competition. Magpantay stood out from the rest of the 40 aspiring candidates from around the globe.
