Netbooks have advantage over the regular laptop models because they are very portable you can practically slid it on your backpacks or sling bags. I used to own an Asus Eee PC and I find it advantageous especially on lectures and using the internet on Wi-Fi zones.

Sony Ericsson HBH-IS800 Wireless Stereo Headphone

33528991 2 440 OVR 1 Sony Ericsson HBH IS800 Wireless Stereo Headphone
My Sony Ericsson K510i headset is now giving a unilateral audio. I blame it to overuse and I usually can sleep with my SE radio on. It may have not injured the stretching. I’ve been looking for a headset that could fit my phone, unfortunately I couldn’t find any. So I settled with SE Walkman Class A Stereo Headphones found on unaccredited gadget stalls – in short, the ones you see in Quiapo area. Haha.

What I did was bought an A4 Tech mp3 Headset which costs around 300 pesos separately, and connect it to the SE Walkman adaptor or whatever you call that.

Speaking of stereo headphones, Sony Ericsson’s HBH-IS800 is an exceptional headphone because it’s wireless.

The Sony Ericsson HBH-IS800 headphones are ultracompact and let you cut the cord from your A2DP-compatible music phone. The earbuds offer deep bass and generally solid sound quality, and the package includes a storage box. It’s pricey at $199.99. But it’s a good option for your Sony Ericsson Handset. In fact, I am contemplating to get one. It fits my need for wireless headset so I can listen to my music collection anytime without the hassle of wired headsets.

Whatever Happened to Panasonic P905i

That’s the question of many gadget freaks. The Panasonic P905i was first released early in 2008 with the intention to be the first to introduce TV tuning feature, a phone perfect for those who still want to watch their favorite shows even on the go. This was even in the wish lists of many.

It is first to 1seg TV tuner that uses Viera image processing; the same technology that Panasonic use in their PDP TV’s.

With a truly amazing screen resolution of 854×480 pixels on a 3.5-inch screen, you can have a very good image quality. Also, it has a 2 Megapixel camera that lets you captures life’s incredible moments.

The Panasonic P905i handset features 3G, GSM and GPS, as well as 1GB of built-in memory just so that you can record television programs. I’ve seen this features only on China phones. Hehe.

So whatever happened to it?

TMZ.com Posted Photo of Rihanna’s Bruises: Is it Authentic?

TMZ.com, the official website of the number 1 paparazzi TV show, has posted a bruised Rihanna on their website. But is it the photo authentic? If you might have been wondering, the answer is a big “NO”.

The photo was altered in Photoshop, to describe the alleged bruises of Rihanna after he was assaulted by now controversial, her then boyfriend, Chris Brown. The face probably belong to her (Rihanna does have a Roman numerals tattoo on her shoulders), and the bruises and contusions were added through Photoshop to make a descriptive look of the singer’s injuries

The Philippine Nursing Board Exam Passing Rate Gets Deteriorating

The complete list of passers of the Nursing Board Examination held last November was just released this morning. A total of 39,455 out of 88,649 passed the Nurse Licensure Examination held on Nov. 29-30, 2008. That entails a passing rate of only 44.5%. I don’t if it’s just me but I think the passing rate has been deteriorating – previous board exams if I am not mistaken usually returned more than 50% passing rate. So why is the nursing board exam passing rate deteriorating?

In my humble opinion, the sprouting of nursing schools everywhere as a response to an increasing demand of nurses abroad, has pretty much contributed to this poor performance. How? Most of this new nursing schools lack accreditation. The accreditation ensures a credible institution. The lack of screening processes of some nursing schools is also contributory to this dilemma. Because the demand for nurses are high, some schools keep on admitting new students, who didn’t even undergo any screening test or examination.

By the way, congrats to my cousin who was one of the 44.5% who made it with flying colors. Congrats to Mr. Faisal M. Paingco, the struggles are over, and this commences a new chapter in your life. Cheers to you, insan!

Send Money Through Friendster

Friendster, probably the biggest social networking site at least among Filipinos, has introduced the “Send Money Feature”, utilizing the Globe GCash Money Transfer.

I tried to click on the link but it redirects me to the Friendster mobile page.  I think they are still rolling out this new feature.

The “Send Money” feature could be both an advantage or disadvantage.  It offers a convenient way to send money to friends online for only P2.50 (only available to Globe and Touch Mobile subscribers).   Or it may turn into a medium for scam online.  Just like how the Paypal scams who have deceived millions of users.  Hmm, we’ll see.
