Journey Live in Taguig
The Journey comes to the Philippine shores!
The band will have its concert on March 14, 2009 at 8 PM in Global City, Taguig, Metro Manila. This concert will serve as an introduction to their newest member, Arnel Pineda as their official vocalist, replacing Jeff Scott Soto. Arnel Pineda will join Neal Schon (guitar), Jonathan Cain (keyboards), Ross Valory (bass), and Deen Castronovo (drums).
It can be recalled that Arnel Pineda auditioned as the lead singer through YouTube, after singing the Journey hit, “Faithfully”. Since then, Arnel Pineda had made several appearances on some Journey concert, however, he was not yet officially introduced to be the front man.
This concert will serve as an official testament of Arnel Pineda, being part of one of world’s greatest bands – The Journey.

Watch Fall Out Boy Live in Manila 2009
Witness another night of crazy, nerve-rocking and wild experience as ETC Entertainment Central, Jack TV and www.friendsorenemies.com are set to bring Grammy-nominated pop punk band Fall Out Boy to Manila to perform in one night only concert at the Araneta Coliseum on February 13 at 8pm.
It was last year that Fall Out Boy invaded Manila to the satisfaction of the fans. Fall Out Boy is composed of lead vocalist Patrick Stump, guitarist Joe Trohman, drummer Andy Hurley and bassist Pete Wentz. Among their hit songs are their version of “Beat It” (featuring John Mayer), a Michael Jackson original, “I Don’t Care” and “Headfirst Slide Into Cooperstown On A Bad Bet”.

Watch Eraserheads Reunion Concert Online
The Eraserheads Reunion Concert was considered “historical” in Filipino music scene as former bandmates Ely Buendia, Buddy Zabala, Marcus Ador, and Raimund Marasigan of the defunct Eraserheads got together after a long time since the band broke up last 2002. It had about 50,000 audience who flocked at the Bonifacio Open Field in Taguig.
Historical it is, as it lingered to everyone’s mind who has witnessed this once in a lifetime event and brought remorse to those who have missed it. Good thing, mementos of the said event has been available for everyone like the Eraserheads Reunion Concert CD and DVD album. Fans can also witness the said concert online at a minimal amount of $4.95 through the ABS-CBNNow website.
A second part titled “The Final Set” has also been laid out. Truly, the Eraserheads made significant history in Philippine music as have been evident in these similar events.

Pacquiao vs Hatton on May 2
The Filipinos and boxing fans all over the world rejoiced over the victory of the “People’s Champ” on the much-awaited boxing fight between Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao and Oscar “Golden Boy” Dela Hoya. Will they have the same elated spirits for the purported big fight between Ricky Hatton and Manny Pacquiao?
News confirmed it that Manny Pacquiao officially signed the contract Friday night for his most-anticipated battle against England’s most famous boxer, Ricky Hatton.
The battle was to happen in MGM Grand in Las Vegas on May 2, 2009. Will it be another success for Manny Pacquiao and another honor to the Filipinos? Hmmm, let’s just hope for another Pacman victory.

Eraserheads Reunion Part 2 Concert Tickets Now Available
The fans had been waiting,excited, for this another big music event – the second part of the Eraserheads Reunion Concert, set to happen on March 7, 2009.
The second reunion concert is dubbed as “The Final Set“. This second reunion is part 2 of the Eraserhead’s Reunion Concert last August 30, 2008 in Bonifacio Open Field in Taguig after it was cut short due to the heart attack experienced by front man Ely Buendia. Composed of Ely Buendia, Buddy Zabala, Marcus Ador, and Raimund Marasigan, the Eraserheads broke up in 2002.
The tickets to the previous reunion concert were reportedly sold out so as expected fans are now flocking ticket outlets and doing online purchases to avoid missing the concert.

Enchanted Kingdom Ticket Prices
Last October 2008, our group went to Binan, Laguna for a sleepover at our co-intern’s house. And when you’re at Laguna, you wouldn’t wanna miss the fun at Enchanted Kingdom, especially for first-timers (like me).
It was a sembreak period so they were having a “sembreak promo”, giving entrance fee discounts to students who can present their valid IDs. We only had to pay Php350.00, a discounted price from the regular Php 400.00 entrance fee. With that amount, we got to enjoy unlimited rides including the popular wet rides like Rio Grande and Log Jam. It was my first time to operate a bump car (pathetic eh?). The famous Octopus ride was a bit interesting, however, none of us dared to experience the nauseating ride.

Eraserheads’ 2nd Reunion Gig Confirmed
The crowd during the Eraserheads’ Reunion Concert last August 30, 2008 at the Bonifacio Open Field in Taguig was one testament that Ely Buendia and his former band (the defunct Eraserheads) is one of the major foundations of the Philippine music industry.
The concert was cut short because Ely Buendia suffered a heart attack, where he was rushed to the hospital. Although disappointed about the turn out of the events, the fans were more concerned about the health condition of the singer rather than the “hanging” concert.
As a payback for the prayers of the fans for Ely Buendia, rumors where spreading about the alleged part two of the Eraserheads. Due to the fans clamor, Eraserheads has confirmed this good news.

Katrina Darell: American Idol’s Bikini Girl
The phenomenal American Idol will take the world by storm again on its eighth season. The show premiered on January 13, 2008, with a new judge, Kara DioGuardi joining Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell.
Thousands of idol hopefuls across America auditioned for the show. As with any other competition, some emerge with victory, others go home with disappointed faces. Katrina Darell was one of those who stood out among the contestants. Well, I think wearing bikini on an audition for a phenomenal singing contest, showed worldwide at that matter, will really make stand out of the rest. And she got to kiss Ryan Seacrest!
