A Man Sells His Life on eBay!

Ian Usher, a man selling his life on eBay!

Years ago, I’ve heard of a small town auctioned on eBay. I thought it was one of the craziest auction I had encountered. But then, come another crazy auction: a man selling his mother-in-law (or it was the other way around?). And now, a divorced man sells his life on eBay. He says the initial trigger was his breakup with his wife. Now, you can call it crazy love.

Ian Usher realized he needed a fresh start so he put his entire life up for sale on eBay, from his toys to his toilet paper, ABC News reported.

The man has an odd way of letting go and moving on, literally!

How God made the Philippines

I was reading some friendster messages a while ago when this particular message struck my attention.

Read this interesting story:

Once upon a time in the kingdom of Heaven, God was missing for six days.

Eventually, Michael the Archangel found him, resting on the seventh day.

He inquired of God, “Where have you been?” God sighed a deep sigh of satisfaction and proudly pointed downwards through the clouds, “Look,Michael. Look what I’ve made.”

Archangel Michael looked puzzled and said, “What is it?” “It’s a planet,” replied God, “and I’ve put Life on it. I’m going to call it Earth and it’s going to be a great place of balance.”

“Balance?” inquired Michael, still confused.

God explained, pointing to different parts of earth. “For example, Northern Europe will be a place of great opportunity and wealth, but cold and harsh while southern Europe is going to be poor but sunny and pleasant.”

“I have made some lands abundant in water and other lands parched deserts.”

“This one will be extremely hot, while this one will be very cold and covered in ice.”

The Archangel, impressed by God’s work, then pointed to a group of Islands and said, “What are those?”

“Ah,” said God. “That’s the Philippines, the most glorious place on earth. There are beautiful beaches, rivers, mountains and forests.

The people from the Philippines are going to be handsome, modest, intelligent and humorous and they are going to be found traveling the world.

They will be extremely sociable, hardworking and high achieving and they will be known throughout the world as carriers of peace and love.”

Michael gasped in wonder and admiration but then proclaimed, “What about balance, God? You said there would be balance.

” God replied wisely, “Wait until you see the idiots I designated as their leaders.”

Flashback: What is my primary goal in life?

Warning: If you hate drama, don’t read the post below.

“What is your primary goal in life?” The transparencies stated at the start of our discussion in Behavioral Science. Then, four choices were given: a) To finish the medical course; b) To make lots of money; c) To be with our loved ones; and d) Others, and we were let to explain our answer.

I am sure, if it were not for the choices given, I will be having a hard time answering the question. Sad as it is, but, there comes a point in my life, even at this stage, where I don’t really know what goal should I direct my mind to. I didn’t even plan to go at this field. I just waited for a sign from God if I was suited for this field. He lit the green light so I gave it a “go”. Before, half of me wanted to pursue my desired course which is on Information Technology. That was the time when I admired hackers and aspired to be one them. No joke. I admired how they sneakily hack bank accounts. But the other half wanted me to stay in my current field. This happened before our Upper Respiratory Module examination which was last Thursday; I was telling my friends that I am already tired of sleeping late at night, studying. My brain’s already tired. Then I asked for a sign again. If I passed the exam, God really wanted me to stay, but if failed, maybe I will rethink things over. I wasn’t confident of what I have studied. I haven’t finished studying my anatomy. I haven’t reviewed on the diseases we tackled. When I took the exam, I was not equipped with the stockpile of knowledge I should have accumulated before taking the exam. There were even parts where I was closing my eyes and the letter that kept appearing on my head was my answer. There were like twenty to thirty items. And in our case, if you missed those points, you’ve already missed a lot! A point is already significant especially when you only got 59% for the exam. My school is that stern.
